About

Vision:PhilosophyIt is the goal of the Little Steps Learning Center to promote in each individual child their abilities to be curious, creative and courteous. As a provider it is my goal to provide a safe, stable and caring environment for learning to take place. It is my responsibility to provide ageappropriate activities that are creative and interesting in a full range of development areas and to remain informed and updated on newmethods through training. It is also my practice to understand that each child is an individual and needs to be respected for their personalobjective. The photos here are of center children being busy at the center. We are very busy throughout the day having lots of fun and learning through our play. We have weekly lessons and do daily projects. We are outside a lot explorning our world. We love catching bugs to feed to our frogs!! Toys are changed as needed to keep the children's minds growing. Lesson plans are posted at our parent board area along with our food menus. I also send home weekly newsletters to inform the parents what we will be working on for that week.

Our infants work on exploring the world around them. They are busy learning new vocabulary words along with textures and sounds. With our infants we are busy reading a lot of books to them, working on large motor skills such as sitting up, rolling and standing. Please click on the link before to see what we will be working on this month with our younger ones. The younger children are also busy watching our older children play and learn. Our older children often help by interacting with them and feeding them.
For the week of September 1-9 we will be working on Back to School!! Yeah two of our friends will be heading off to 4K and our two older friends will be off to 2nd and 4th grade!!! We will be busy watching for the bus in the morning and afternoon. Our Preschoolers will be working on learning about there colors, numbers, letters and scoiaclizing skills so they will be ready in a few years to head off to 4K.
